Master Pellegrini's dream of affordable living in European fairytale castles
Giacomo Pellegrini, a master of restoring old paintings, lived in the picturesque hills of Tuscany. His art and craft took him to some of the most magnificent castles in southern Europe and Germany, where he marvelled at the beauty of bygone eras. But these majestic buildings, once witnesses to splendour and glory, gradually fell into disrepair and were forgotten. While he was restoring the splendour of past masterpieces, his desire to save these historic palaces from decay grew.
With a deep understanding of the architecture and building fabric, Pellegrini developed the ‘Pellegrini Castle Concept’ - a vision that combines tradition and modernity. His concept aims to renovate the fairytale castles and make them accessible for affordable and sustainable living. He places particular emphasis on dehumidifying the walls, repairing structural damage and cracks and using insulating plasters and mineral paints.
But Giacomo knew that it was not enough to restore the buildings; they also had to be equipped for modern life. He therefore supplemented his concept with a highly qualified team that integrated modern lighting and electrical technology, external energy and water supply as well as advanced solar and storage systems to keep operating costs low.
Supported by interior design specialists and innovative irrigation systems for medicinal gardens and plantation parks, the concept offered everything needed to live in a castle. Even the establishment of co-operatives and access to EU funding were considered to facilitate the financial entry into this unique living concept.
In this way, Giacomo Pellegrini created a world in which the dreams of future princes and princesses could become reality. Whether for temporary living, shared flats, as an emotional fairytale investment or for health and wellbeing tourism - the doors to the restored buildings are wide open. Pellegrini's concept transforms fairytale castles and country estates into lively, affordable places where fantasy and reality merge.
