Goals of the ArtGeneration Initiative in the 21st century

The goals of the ArtGeneration Initiative include creating places for self-determined and creative living, promoting cooperative initiatives, developing inclusive mobility solutions, strengthening the ecological regional economy, and emphasizing health issues and cultural engagement. The initiative also advocates for the support of exemplary and sustainable regions in the areas of gentle tourism, intergenerational teaching, learning, working, and living in the LebensArt locations of the European Union.

ArtGeneration: Reminiscence of the Beatnik Generation

The reminiscence of the Beatnik generation pays tribute to the rebellious, non-conformist spirit of the movement that flourished in the 1950s and 1960s. This generation of writers, musicians, and artists sought freedom beyond social conventions, celebrated individualism, and explored new, authentic ways of life. Often understood as a response to the cultural norms of the post-war period, the Beatniks, with their love of jazz and folk music, spontaneous writing, spiritual quests, and thirst for adventure, embodied a rejection of the mainstream and a return to the essence of human existence.

The Beatnik generation of the 1950s and 1960s—a movement that viewed life from a new perspective and encouraged society to reflect on conventions, values, and the meaning of existence. Driven by a desire for freedom and authenticity, the beatniks roamed the streets of San Francisco and New York with intense passion, freeing themselves from social norms and discovering new forms of expression in literature, music, and spirituality. ArtGeneration Beatnik Villages – A reminiscence of the Beatnik generation

Inspired by the artistic and nonconformist spirit of the Beatnik generation, Beatnik Villages will be created as modern living spaces that capture the rebellious charm and aesthetics of this era. The architecture combines new buildings with renovated old buildings, creating a harmonious interplay of tradition and modernity. The Beatnik Villages are complemented by spacious ecological gardens that reflect the philosophy of a nature-loving lifestyle and offer space for community and creativity.

The ArtGeneration Beatnik Villages combine the art and design of the Beat era with the possibilities of the future. Innovative technologies such as solar energy and e-mobility, smart communication systems, and sustainable building materials promote an environmentally friendly lifestyle and create global connectivity.
