PROJECT WEST-SICILY

Projects ArtGeneration Westcoast Sicily: A vision for the future
The west coast of Sicily is known as a unique part of the island that combines tradition and modernity, nature and culture in an extraordinary harmony. The West Coast Sicily projects aim to transform this area through innovative approaches and sustainable concepts into a forward-looking region that combines history, culture, art and technology.

A region of historical wealth and natural beauty
(film location e.g. for Indiana Jones and Ocean's Twelve, artistic work e.g. by Robert Wilson and Philipp Glass).
Western Sicily is characterised by the diversity of its landscapes: from the endless beaches of San Vito Lo Capo to the rolling hills and vineyards inland, from the fascinating salt pans of Marsala to the medieval town of Erice. Trapani, the ‘city between two seas’, is the gateway to the Egadi Islands and a starting point for exploring ancient sites such as Segesta and Selinunte. The region has experienced numerous cultures over the centuries - Phoenicians, Greeks, Arabs, Celts, Normans, Spaniards - and reflects this history in its architecture, art and gastronomy.
Past and present merge in the small town of Gibellina. Art and nature in impressive installations. Formerly a Mecca for art lovers, the town is once again a cultural highlight.

The vision of the ArtGeneration projects Westcoast Sicily
The projects include innovative construction and renovation projects that focus on sustainability and the preservation of cultural heritage. The planned initiatives are diverse:
Reactivation of historic villages and townhouses: historic buildings are being renovated to improve energy efficiency, villages are being revitalised and transformed into modern living and working spaces. Highly efficient materials and design developments will be utilised.
Ecological new builds: Themed villages such as the ‘Beatnik Villages’ combine modern design with sustainable concepts.
Technology and innovation: The use of state-of-the-art IT solutions (Apple technologies), sensor technology (e.g. forest fire protection) and intelligent water management systems form the basis for environmentally friendly and efficient living.
Sustainable agriculture: Projects in solar agriculture and innovative approaches to food production promote self-sufficiency and strengthen the regional economy.

Beacons of culture and education
Planned educational centres and theme parks are to set international standards. In co-operation with institutions such as UNESCO:
Cultural centres: art retreats, film locations, theatres and literature centres.
Education and health platforms: Theme parks and research centres that focus on sustainability, health and smart technologies. E.g. pop culture therapies.
Creative networks: Initiatives in fashion, design, crafts and music create new opportunities for creatives and entrepreneurs.

Sustainability as a guiding principle
The ArtGeneration projects Westcoast Sicily strive to transform the region into a model for sustainable development. The combination of renewable energy, smart mobility and environmentally friendly technology forms the basis for modern, future-orientated living.

A future full of opportunities
Western Sicily offers an unrivalled quality of life. It is a place where past and present meet to shape the future together. Whether through art, technology, culture or nature - the ArtGeneration projects West Coast Sicily are an invitation to rediscover and help shape this fascinating region.
Beatnik Villages - a reminiscence of the beatnik generation
Beatnik Villages - a reminiscence of the beatnik generation
Inspired by the artistic and non-conformist spirit of the beatnik generation, the Beatnik Villages are modern living spaces that reflect the rebellious charm and aesthetics of this era. The architecture combines new buildings with renovated old ones, creating a harmonious interplay of tradition and modernity. The Beatnik Villages are complemented by spacious ecological gardens that reflect the philosophy of a life close to nature and offer space for community and creativity.

The Beatnik Villages combine the art and design of the Beat era with the possibilities of the future. Innovative technologies such as solar energy and e-mobility, smart communication systems and sustainable building materials promote an environmentally friendly way of life and create global networking. The Beatnik Villages are more than just living spaces - they are a living monument to the values of the Beatnik generation and an invitation to celebrate individuality, creativity and community in a modern world.
